Kim Smith is the founder of Akeru & PurPURE, services specially designed to help people improve their self-confidence, self-awareness, self-belief, body-image, personal health, wellbeing and career skills.
With a unique combination of qualifications in Behavioural Science (with major concentrations in Youth Issues), Health and Wellness, Training and Management, along with many years practice in the Professional Development and Management arenas, Kim takes a holistic and proven approach to helping girls develop the right mindsets to live happy, healthy lives.
Kim's commitment to helping people is evident in her genuine and compassionate approach to her programs. Through personal experience, Kim believes that every person has the strength and ability to believe in themselves and find true happiness from within.
Kim has based her services around the philosophy of building connection and belonging between people. Her aim is to help create bonds so people feel comfortable to open up, trust and not feel that they are facing the world alone.
Kim is especially passionate about making a difference in the lives of young women, their families, schools and communities. She is committed to addressing the increasing rates of mental and physical health issues amongst girls, and promote positive life choices, feelings, attitudes and behaviours. Her keen interest and outstanding achievements in the behavioural sciences were awarded with the University of Queensland’s Dean’s Commendation of Excellence Awards for Social and Behavioural Sciences two years running.
